It’s always easy to find a way to keep cool and beat the heat in Branson. The Heat Index might be high, but from beaches to icebergs Branson has all sorts of ways to beat the heat. In a recent online article entitled “Three fun ways to stay cool and beat the heat in Branson” appearing in the at www.BransonCourier.com, In the articlePaul Miller, General Manager, Branson Tourism Center, shared three diverse and fun ways to stay cool in Branson.

Miller suggests Table Rock Lake’s Moonshine Beach, White Water, and Branson’s Titanic, the world’s largest museum attraction. He said Moonshine Beach, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility onTable Rock Lake, is a beautiful scenic beach with many amenities is not only readily accessible to Branson’s visitor, but exposes them to the beauty of Table Rock Lake.

White Water, a water park owned by the same company that owns Silver Dollar City, is a long time visitor favorite. It has more than 7,000 feet of water slides, a dozen rides and is 12 acres and two million gallons of cool liquid fun set in a tropical setting.

Miller said that at first blush his choice of the Titanic as a place for visitors to beat the heat might seem to be no different than most of Branson’s indoor theatres and attractions that are air conditioned. Miller suggests however, that passengers “sailing” aboard the Titanic will encounter some really “cool” surprises.

Excerpts from the Article:

In addition to its large swimming beach Moonshine Beach’s amenities include a play ground, picnic areas, a boat launch ramp, flush toilets and showers. It is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and there is a daily charge of $4.00 per vehicle.

One of its major features is Kalani Towers, a seven story tall six slide ride. Two of the slides have 300 foot drops enabling speeds of up to 40 mph and four have 312 foot slides located immediately adjacent to each other that permit lane racing at speeds up to 25 mph. [White Water]

…some “cooler surprises” towards the end of its exciting “voyage” as the Titanic approaches and hits the iceberg that sends her to the bottom of the Atlantic. It is literally a chilling experience followed by a real “cool “hands on experience near the lifeboats.
